Most of you know my story
But if you're new here (and welcome btw 👋🏼) here’s the recap:
About four years ago, I decided to come off the hormonal birth control pill after being on it for a decade.
Yep, 10 years (!!!!). without a period. without knowing my body or myself without the added dose of hormones.
So I had no idea what to expect.
Well? My curiosity was met with seriously painful, heavy cycles, awful skin flares, and a level of confusion I hadn’t felt since puberty. The body I thought I knew… just didn’t feel like mine anymore.
So naturally, I went to a “conventional” doctor ASAP - who told me “welcome to womanhood - either get back on the pill or good luck”
erm gee thanks doc
So then I found a “holistic” doctor - who scared the crap out of me, and left me with a list of 20+ supplements to take with no real directions
And so I had no choice but
To learn.
To track.
To listen.
And ultimately - to heal

That season of life cracked something open in me. It’s the reason I do the work I do today - because it made me realize just how few of us were ever taught to truly understand our bodies.
See, I think I’m a pretty well-educated woman. Thirteen years at a rigorous private school. Cornell for undergrad. A master’s from Columbia 🎓
And yet, 5 years ago, if you had asked me how my cycle actually worked? I probably would’ve shrugged
Something is seriously off with our education system when we spend 12+ years in school and don’t know a dang thing about how our own body works.
Especially when so many of us are dealing with
painful periods
irregular cycles
PMS and mood swings
bloating and water retention
hair loss and thinning
acne acne acne (oh and acne)
fertility challenges
^if this sounds like you, then this challenge was quite literally made for YOU
See I’ve been dreaming up 💭 a resource like this for a while - something that helps women come back to their bodies and actually heal through knowledge base action
Enter….
28-Days of Decoding Your Body: The Hormone Balancing Challenge
Every now and then, I like to propose a little community challenge.
Not a challenge in the pass-fail kind of way (though you know I do love school 😏)
But more of a committed journey. Cause we can all use a little hand holding and accountability to make actionable change
And if you’re here, reading this, I already feel like I know you.
I know you’re the kind of woman who wants to understand her body
That wants to stop guessing, googling health problems, and cycling between burnout and “getting back on track.”
The woman who is looking for more than a pill & wants to truly heal and work with her body.
If you’re nodding your head right now, then I gotchu.
You need TRUE evidence-based answers with SUSTAINABLE action - because that’s what leads to real, lasting change in your body and hormones
knowledge + implemented consistent action → true changes
So let’s do this thing
What You Need For This Challenge
Over the next 28 days, I’ll be guiding you through a step-by-step challenge to help you reconnect with your body and balance your hormones
The steps may seem simple, but I promise you that when you implement them consistently and with care, you'll notice more energy, a more regular cycle, consistent digestion, and a deeper connection to you.
We'll be diving into alllll the details of our hormones over this next month, but for now, here is what you need to keep in mind:
MAKE THE COMMITMENT: decide now that these next few weeks are for you — your body, your energy, your ease. Yes, it takes a lil work - but this isn’t a chore, it’s a choice rooted in excitement, integrity, and follow-through to finally get some clarity and heal your body. Create the space, honor the process, and stock up on what you’ll need (list below!) so you’re set up to feel supported.
CHECK YOUR EMAIL: You’ll receive an email every other day at 9:00 AM EST for the next month. Set aside a few minutes to read, reflect with the journal prompts, and explore the action steps — this time is for you.
SHIFT INTO ACTION: each email will have 1 habit and 1 journal prompt to implement, focused on decoding your body and supporting your hormones. You have 2 days to do each “homework” before habit stacking with the next one.
BE THE OBSERVER: take notice of how you feel after implementing the changes. What's your energy like? Your mood? How's your sleep? Your cycle? What worked for you? What didn't? Start to tune into you.
THINGS TO DO RIGHT NOW:
SUBSCRIBE: honestly, this is like the only real prerequisite you need.
free subscribers: you’ll still get all the info + action steps
paid subscribers: you’ll get the above and the journal prompts, plus a little extra (think: some additional recipes, resources, etc)
DOWNLOAD THE CYCLE SYNCING SERIES: we’ve talked about Open before - but they just launched a cycle syncing series that helps you combine stress relief and meditation with our hormones….I mean? What’s better than that. We’ll be referring to it throughout this challenge so click here to get it for 30 days free
GET A NOTEBOOK: where we’ll be collecting all your thoughts and reflections in this series.
CHECK THE SUBSCRIBER CHAT: where we’ll be doing little accountability check ins 🌱
Today’s Homework:
Before we dive into hormones and syncing and decoding symptoms — I want you to take 5 minutes to reflect on the below:
How do I currently feel in my mind and body? Write out the symptoms (physical, emotional, mental) or mindset you experience — no judgment, just awareness.
What is my “why” in staying committed to this challenge? What is the thing you want to understand or shift? This will be your motivator so get real clear with yourself
What would it feel like to trust my body more? Imagine you reached your goal, symptoms resolved, connection deepened - what you would gain? how you would feel? Lay it out for yourself.
That’s where we begin.
Tomorrow, we find out if your period is normal 🤔
Until then, shrug up your shoulders, let them drop, release your tongue from the roof of your mouth, inhale through your nose…..deep sigh out.
You’ve got this
