Mineral Mocktails - 5 Recipes to Support Energy, Hormones + Hydration

We’re big on electrolytes over here —
but not the kind you’re probably thinking of

On one end, there’s old-school Gatorade with 26g of sugar per bottle.

On the other, there’s the trending LMNT — which recently disclosed it contains ~300 mg of maltodextrin, an ultra-processed additive that can spike blood sugar fast.

And beyond that, most popular electrolyte drinks are:

  • Low in potassium (a crucial mineral for energy, mood, and hydration)

  • Very high in sodium

  • Full of added sugars or artificial sweeteners

  • Colored and flavored with synthetic additives

We can do better 💧 no?

And because electrolytes are key for acne, thyroid, energy, and digestion - we came up with these 5 mineral mocktail recipes to support your body from the inside out

While LMNT has 1000 mg sodium + 200 mg potassium

we’re looking for more of a 300-500 mg sodium range + 400-600 mg potassium

the ratio of sodium:potassium here makes a big difference

But wait, why are electrolytes so dang important?

Electrolytes are essential for nearly every system in your body.

These minerals (think: sodium, potassium, and magnesium) help:

  • Regulate fluid balance (i.e., puffiness)

  • Adrenal health by helping your body manage stress and regulate cortisol

  • Boost glowing skin and cellular hydration

  • Optimize digestion and stomach acid production (sodium is needed for stomach acid)

  • Thyroid function (potassium is key here!) and hormone signaling

The problem? Most of us are unknowingly depleted.

See stress is a major drain on electrolytes.

Add to that coffee, alcohol, hormonal birth control, sweating, under-eating, or certain medications — and you’ve got a recipe for imbalance, puffiness, slow thyroid, low energy, and bloat.

The body burns through minerals faster during periods of high demand (like when you’re stressed, intensely training, or going through illness), yet the modern diet rarely replenishes them.

So we want to change that 👇🏼

The Ingredients:

THE COCONUT WATER:

Naturally packed with potassium—the electrolyte superstar—coconut water should be your go-to for gentle energy, glowing skin, and adrenal support.

THE SEA SALT:
A pinch of sea salt isn’t just for flavor. It delivers sodium and trace minerals that support thyroid hormone conversion, nerve transmission, and hydration. Think of it as your secret weapon for skin health, hormone detoxification, and optimal digestion.

THE VITAMIN C SOURCE:
Whether it’s a squeeze of fresh lemon or a splash of orange, it’s crucial for collagen synthesis, adrenal resilience, and antioxidant protection. It helps shuttle minerals into your cells.

THE ADD-ONS:
Take it up a notch with some boosters:

  • Magnesium powder

  • Liver drops or chlorophyll

  • Trace mineral drops
