My Top Supplements For Hormone Health
28 Days of Decoding Your Body: The Hormone Balance Challenge 🕯️🍵🕊️ Day 25-26
I used to be so excited about naturopathic or “functional” medicine
And to be fair, I still believe it’s rooted in a beautiful ideal: a desire to view health not as isolated systems, but as a complete, interconnected whole. To see the body and the person.
But somewhere along the way… we lost the plot.
Suddenly, “holistic” care became another form of overprescribing, only instead of metformin and Ozempic, it’s inositol and berberine. Instead of empowering people to understand their bodies, it’s just more pills now labeled “detox” or “natural”.
surely….this isn’t the way to actually support the body
And yes, in our practice, we absolutely use supplements and herbs. But we use them with intention. We give guidance on their purpose and timeline. And we never give out supplements without also layering in education and understanding of daily habits to integrate alongside it
Sometimes we need more (because eradicating H. pylori, for example, is no joke). Sometimes we need less (because your diet might already be in tip top shape).
But we don’t throw the whole supplement cabinet at you and call it healing.
So now that you’ve had 3+ weeks of education on how the body works and what to do, it’s time to layer on some supplemental support with clarity.
think of them as a “sprinkle on top”
